It was a typical weekend for Professor Ashton Scrivener. Which meant everything in his usual Saturday schedule was going exactly to plan. While Ashton was generally a disorganized person, he had a knack for keeping to his schedules... perhaps that was the only organized part of his life. He spent from around nine in the morning until lunch grading papers. Now that lunch was over, he could go to the next portion of his Saturday agenda. From lunch until dinner, he would spend time working on his next dissertation. He was currently studying the sociological structure of students in Hogwarts. Ashton knew how he was going to do this study and how he would categorize behaviors. But before he could actually record student behaviors, he had to do preliminary research for the background... which is what he planned on spending the entire afternoon doing.
Ashton pretty much took over an entire table for this research. In front of him sat at least six books on the psychology and sociology of adolescents. Four were muggle and two were by wizards. In front of him was a long piece of parchment and a quill. The parchment was already about halfway full of notes taken from these books. He was entirely certain he was getting strange looks from his students. He completely understood their confusion. After all, in their minds, it made no sense for someone to want to do a long research paper. He wouldn't have wanted to at their age. Now that he was older, though, he reveled in the thrill of learning something new and contributing important studies to the sociological world. Ashton smiled at the thought while he continued to record notes on the long roll of parchment.
